Google Launches Chromebook

Started by initially giving the free samples, Google has strike hard the IT world by now launching its own computer ,the Chromebook at the  Google's annual I/O developer conference at San Francisco. Filling the speculations as they were, Chromebook claims to have the fastest boot of just 8 seconds. Running on the Chrome OS, this machine has its major working based on the cloud computing phenomena and hence the speed as guaranteed. This machine would be officially on for sales from 15th June .

The book comes loaded with almost every connectivity feature and that too defined in the latest versions. From Bluetooth to Wi-Fi connectivity ,the Chromebook is internet optimized as it has 3G connectivity and an all-day battery back up .

All set to launch on Samsung and Acer hardware platforms, Chromebook is one sure massive hit  especially in the student and fast moving crowd .Google openly claims the Chromebooks as a new type of computer and is far secure when compared to other handheld computers. Chromebooks   have many layers of security built in so there is no anti-virus software to buy and maintain. Even more importantly, you won't spend hours fighting your computer to set it up and keep it up to date.

Sundar Pichai, Senior VP, Google, at the conference

The Googleblog quotes proudly about their machine as “At the core of each Chromebook is the Chrome web browser". The web has millions of applications and billions of users. Trying a new application or sharing it with friends is as easy as clicking a link. A world of information can be searched instantly and developers can embed and mash-up applications to create new products and services. The web is on just about every computing device made, from phones to TVs, and has the broadest reach of any platform. With HTML5 and other open standards, web applications will soon be able to do anything traditional applications can do, and more.” The specifications for the Samsung Chromebook are listed below :
