Rumor has it that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be released in August 2016 and that it will have the number ‚7’ in its name, not a ‚6’ as it would make sense.
The reason for this is supposedly the fact that many users might confuse it with an older generation device when compared with the upcoming Samsung S7.
Here is a comparison between the rumored specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 6 and the Note 5 and 4.
Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is rumored to measure 153.5x73.9x7.9 mm, whereas the Note 5 measures 153.2x76.2x7.6 mm and 171g in weight and the Note 4 measures 153.5x78.6x8.5mm.
Apart from this the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to feature either a dual edge design or curved one. Due to the fact that the Note 5 and Note 4 have fingerprint sensors, we can assume that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will also have that and it’s rumored that it will also sport an iris scanner.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Note 4 both feature a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display and their screens are protected by Gorrila Glass 4 and 3 respectively.
Supposedly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will sport a 5.8 inch screen with a Super AMOLED display and a resolution with a slightly lower pixel density when compared to the previous models.
Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Note 4 feature a 16 MP rear camera. However, the former features a 5 MP front one, whereas the latter sports a 3.7 MP front one.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will presumably sport a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front one, which means that it will be of a lesser quality than the previous Notes.
Note 5 is powered by an octa-core Exynos processor and a 3000 mAh battery and features 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB of storage space. The Note 4 is powered by a quad-chip core and a 3220 mAh battery and it has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage space. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 has been rumored to feature up to 256 GB of storage and a 4200 mAh battery as well.
Based on the rumors so far it seems like the Note 6 could offer a bigger display and more powerful hardware, but it may feature a less impressive camera. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is present with 16 Megapixel camera with OIS/image stabilization, 2160p video at 30 fps or 60 fps at 1080p, 5 Megapixel front camera dedicated for selfies to those interested. Samsung put this sensor on Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and S6 Edge Plus, all its peaks range from 2015, Let's see what is Samsung Galaxy Note 6/Note 7 going to bring new in the camera technology.
What we know so far about Samsung Galaxy Note 6/Note 7:
Recently, rumors began to emerge indicating that Notes 7 will be the first smartphone which will have built-in iris scanning.
Apparently, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will have a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED screen with QHD resolution, having both curved edges, as did the Galaxy S7 Edge. Its housing is resistant to water and dust, Notes 7 will host a version with increased Chipset frequencies met at the Galaxy S7 series, called Snapdragon 823.
In addition, Notes 7 will have 6GB RAM, 64GB or 128 GB internal memory and microSD slot, a camera of 12MP respectively. But that's not all, as a description of the update package available through the Samsung Galaxy Beta, the next Samsung flagship will come equipped with iris scanning function.
