Samsung Galaxy Ace (future beyond smart phone)

Samsung has made quite an impact on smart phone market with its futuristic range of galaxy series of phones. The latest soldier to join the army is Samsung Galaxy Ace. Like its predecesors, this machine is also equipped with Google’s Android 2.2 i.e. The Froyo, which is the latest version of course and has some updates ready to be release soon. The Ace comes out to be one of the all purpose phone with the marvelous specifications it has. It can serve a student, professional, technocrat, even doctors with the diverse configurations it is having.

This complete touch screen phone is a feast for touch screen lovers as it has a big 3.5 TFT inch screen with multiple desktops, hybrid widgets and of course search in browser facility for which android is known. Being a 3G phone, Ace is equipped with HSPDA and EDGE/GPRS networking modes providing high speed data transfer and communication services. Weighing just around 113grams, the phone is literally a social hub with inbuilt facility to integrate SNS services, email and instant messaging services. It has an integrated calendar which tunes Facebook, Google and the vintage Microsoft Outlook Express. Also it has integrated Gmail and Microsoft Exchange Active Sync.

The USP of the phone comes into act when the processor is taken into consideration. The machine goes way to mean with its 800MHz MSM turbo processor which makes it capable of running the heaviest android applications without any glitches. The phone has maximized connectivity options with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and high speed USB 2.0 interfaces which sounds mandatory for such a smart phone. A 5.0 MP camera with LED flash makes the photography quite wonderful with such a large screen and multiple photography options including panoramic view and continuous shooting modes. Video recording modes are QVGA @ 20 frames/second and WVGA @ 30 frames/ second and the format is the general 3gp.The video codecs installed in the phone are MPEG 4, H.263 and H.264 for quality viewing of various videos.

A 1350mH battery provides quite a fair amount of back up to the phone with over 10 hours talk time on 2G and 12 hours on 3G mode. The phone comes with inbuilt 150mb memory, 2GB inbox and is of course expandable to 32GB like its counterparts. Equipped with android’s RSS reader browser, the ACE has pre-installed A-GPS and comes with Google’s services like Google Maps Latitude and Google Maps Navigation. It has a digital compass, accelerometer sensor and proximity sensor. Apart from all these pleasantries, the phone comes with mind-blowing features like Quicktype by SWYPE (which is indeed being used as a marketing strategy), document reader and editor, AllShare feature and multi touch zoom.

With such a feature diverse phone, Samsung has definitely made the final impact to prove that it is going “future beyond smart phones” and that brings us to declare that no matter how many competitors it is having, the Galaxy series is here to rule.
