Appears as an upgrade to the G3 model, the new LG G4 flagship attracts with its high-quality screen and 16MP camera with RAW capture mode and focus assisted laser housed in a body with attractive design and premium finishes.
Construction, design, ergonomics
Keeping fluid design with minimalist details and very good ergonomics, LG G4 continues the success story started with the G2 and G3 model, raising a number of advantages increasingly rare in a high-end smartphone: removable battery, expandable memory, exchange capacity Optional covered with handmade leather and a camera at least interesting as its other specs. Highlighted frame metal 5.5˝ screen is protected by a glass shield discreetly curved inside, having applied oleophobic treatment and anti-reflection filter of very good quality.
Viewed from the front, G4 looks almost identical to its predecessor, having only very slightly rounded corners and using a narrower speaker.
The back features the already famous as Rear Key system buttons, camera lens, LED flash with two laser sensor and camera lens. Introduced in the same time with the G2, the design with buttons on the back cover is now an iconic element of LG phones even if their utility is not always convincing. The design adopted for G4 is the fourth iteration of this control system from LG.
Regarding the customization options, LG offers the G4 model in several color variants and three types of materials for the removable cover. In the standard package, LG G4 comes with a lid or ceramic metal which looks finished.
Under the lid we find a 3000 mAh battery. The rarity for such a high-end phone, removable battery can be replaced by the user without the need for special tools. Here, we find the slot for micro SIM card and the microSD, supporting capacities of up to 128GB.
Even if it's a large phone, LG G4 well disguises this fact by its thoughtful design, having a screen of 5.5" with a very narrow frame. Help and thinned edges, the phone seems shorter, narrower and slimmer than other phones in this class. Similarly, the weight is low enough for a terminal so impressive and fluid curved lines of the housing mold make him well in hand.
