The model has a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768, Intel HM76 Express with USB 3.0 support and Intel Sandy Bridge Core i3-2350m of 2.3 GHz. Configuration is completed with the 4GB DDR3 RAM, AMD Radeon HD 7670M video card with 1GB video memory and DirectX 11 support.

The new feature of this model is the Gesture Control method. The laptop has a Exmor HD webcam of 1.3 MP and can be used for videoconferencing, but also for Gesture control - control gestures like browsing Web pages, applications, etc. Gesture control is supported by Windows Media Player, IE 9, Power DVD and Power Point.

I really appreciated the design envelope and red and black color combination. This laptop gives a special look with unique personality! The new touchpad is much higher than that encountered in earlier Sony Vaio generations and it seemed more accurate. Housing is well isolated from the rest and left click and right click buttons are embedded in the touch. After several minutes of use, you get used to the new Sony Vaio E14A1S1EB. It mentioned that comes with an ergonomic illuminated keyboard.

Eco-friendly design allows the use in high performance for longer time. With a battery life of up to 7 hours, the laptop provides enough energy for a busy day.

The hybrid system uses graphics GPU dedicated for complex applications such as games, movies or image editing programs. In less demanding applications, VAIO automatically stops the dedicated video card, protecting the battery. Furthermore, the performance of its screen, processor and built-in optical drives to the minimum the power consumption when not needed.

The model is sold in three shades - white, black and pink - and these are highlighted by carefully chosen colors, which emphasize edges, housing, touchpad and keyboard.

The keyboard is comfortable, chiclet type and has advanced features like lighting technology to give you the freedom to type in dark environment. Activates automatically with ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the screen brightness, saving energy when the room light is low.

The touchpad is large (a new element among Vaio laptops), with support for multi-touch gestures. Allows intuitive use of the notebook, providing sufficient space for carrying the will of orders. The touchpad allows browsing, image editing, along with other options that can be handled by scrolling, touch, pinch/zoom or circular motion.

In chapter ports, the Sony Vaio E14 (E14A1S1EB) is very good. Comes with: USB 2.0 (x2), USB 3.0 (x1), USB 3.0 with USB charging (x1) HDMI output, stereo speakers with Dolby Home Theater v4, HD webcam with 'Exmor for PC' technology (1.31 megapixels ) Web buttons, VAIO and Assist. The VGA and RJ-45 ports are also there.
