HP Envy 14 Beats Audio by Dr. Dre – A stylish trendy laptop

There are almost no laptops manufacturer on the market not to be associated with a big name in music or entertainment industry, and HP did the same thing, one of the most successful products from the collaboration with Interscope Records and Dre being the laptop we will talk about below, named HP Envy 14 Beats Edition.

HP Envy 14 Beats Edition is designed specifically for young media enthusiasts who appreciate both quality and possession of a device belonging to a famous brand.

The laptop offers a special exterior design, with slightly rubberized plastic finish, a touchpad for large dimensions, sensitive and easy to use and an ergonomic keyboard, equipped with excellent lighting and red LED.

HP Envy 14 Beats is not an ordinary notebook. In fact, almost all of its design details make it jump in your eye and attract attention of others, from the large logo "Beats Audio" on the back to the material used for finishing.

If we were to get a bit grumpy, I dare to say that HP has inspired a little from the MacBook Pro's image when they created the Envy, the notebook "borrows" some design cues from the Apple system, such as unit optics without keyboard tray or organization and the various features outlined on this.

A big plus is the keyboard and lighting system, red LED (brand specific color of Beats Audio), offering a very good level of visibility in the dark.

The touchpad located centrally is quite large and offers a very good level of control, the same applying to the right and left click buttons at the bottom of it. It is interesting to note that the touchpad has a sensor placed in the upper left, above, used for starting and stopping it as needed.

Perhaps the most unusual element in building HP Envy 14 Beats Edition model is the case, a slightly rubberized plastic, which provides a visual and tactile feeling quite extraordinary.

Another design element that will surely attract attention is the power adapter, very slim and in addition, equipped with a USB connector to power other devices.

Turning now to chapter connectivity, I must say I was slightly disappointed by the choices of engineers from HP. Sure, HP Envy 14 Beats Edition comes with a range of ports (3 x USB 2.0, DisplayPort, HDMI, RJ-45 port, audio input and output, plus a card reader SD, MMC's side of front), but was not equipped with USB 3.0.

Another worthy fact is the display design, its very thin edge giving a larger point of view for its 14 inches, but the fact that HP did not apply an anti-reflection on it is still a minus, given that this is a premium product.

Its hardware is also powerful, the laptop featuring an Intel Core i7 Sandy Bridge, 6 GB of RAM and a fast hard drive (7200 RPM) that offers the generous storage space of 750GB.

The only element that draws little behind the performance is the dedicated video card AMD Radeon HD 6630, a mid-level model, but still powerful enough for wide use of ENVY's.

But its strong point is undoubtedly a sound system that offers high quality audio playback, especially when using good quality headphones.

In short, HP Envy 14 Beats Edition is a multimedia laptop truly extraordinary and will certainly be appreciated by those users passionate about technology and music, but also want to improve their image and style with a stylish trendy laptop.
