Until recently the category of All-in-One computers does not come out very much in evidence, several companies have suddenly decided to invest more resources in developing new models. Perhaps this decision was influenced by new components for mobile PCs, approaching ever more performance than standard components, can provide a comparable experience both in normal use and under intense stress with professional applications or in video games. ASUS has thus decided to bring to the market a premium All-in-One device Zen AiO Pro, which seems to meet the needs of most users. Of course, price is good and is comparable to the competition.
Presentation and Construction
Before we talk about Zen AiO Pro, we should mention that, yes, ASUS has created a competitor to Apple's iMac series. In terms of design, the two series of products are similar, but there are enough elements that distinguish them, and each has its advantages and disadvantages. ASUS has made an All-in-One PC around a 4K 24" display and it was integrated into a meticulously worked aluminum body. Zen AiO Pro back is slightly curved to make room for all components and solid aluminum leg which gives the feeling of safety.
Features and Specifications
When it comes to specifications ASUS did not stop at integrating the most powerful components available. Although it is not a computer for gaming, the graphics chip GTX 960 is enough to meet most of the video games on the market in Full HD resolution with medium to high details. Intel Core i7 processor on Intel architecture is designed to be used in laptops, but does its job brilliantly even in the desktop environment.

We've tested only the top variant, with the best components available on Zen AiO Pro series, but ASUS also markets less efficient (and cheaper) variants. While the tested model has shown signs of fatigue in any scenario under office or entertainment use, results may vary depending on configuration. Upgrade possibilities are limited if you want to purchase an inferior model and to improve over time. Access to components is done by removing the display, and many are laptop components, which means that either cannot be changed, whether it can be changed only with portable models.
Screen and Webcam
UHD screen is perhaps the most impressive aspect of Zen AiO Pro, which is very well-calibrated from the factory, ensuring natural colors display without backlight bleeding or ghosting. According to official specifications, it is certified with 82% of the NTSC color gamut, 85% Adobe RGB and 100% sRGB. In theory, it can be used by those working in the creative mode also.
Webcam does not impress in any way, since it is a standard camera with full HD video at 30 frames per second. Interestingly, however, Intel RealSense sensor can be used in combination with Hello functionality in Windows 10.
Given the price of about $2300 the tested model will not strike those who would compare it with a custom-made PC of common components. What should be noted in this case is that in spite of laptop components (mostly) ASUS Zen AiO Pro managed to surpass expectations.
The Intel Core i7-6700T is only slightly below the performance of a standard i7-4770K, the graphics chip least 960m behind an NVIDIA GTX 960 video cards and RAM memory in generous amounts helped to rapid transition between several applications and games. Even in the most demanding video games tested, the cooling system has coped successfully without being heard.
ASUS Zen AiO Pro manages to reconcile everyone. It is an All-in-One PC very personable, which not only provides a pleasant user experience in the office, but can become a real workstation for those in the creative environment. At gaming, test results show that this configuration is enough for slightly older games, but will also face newer titles. However, for some the price of the top model (tested by us) maybe it is not just attractive, but are unlikely to find a PC in the same category that provides both the performance and great aspect of Zen AiO Pro at a lower price.
